I can’t recommend the Labour TENS highly enough.  I was 5cm dilated and having contractions 4 minutes apart when we arrived at the hospital after using the TENS machine at home.  My baby girl was born 2 1/2 hours later.  She is my third child, all born spontaneously and vaginally. 

I did have pethidine but I found the TENS very helpful to feel calm and in control and to have something to concentrate on.

I would certainly use one again!
