I found the Labour TENS machine really helpful in early labour.  I only used the TENS plus breathing until about 5cm dilation.  I decided to have some pethidine to take the edge off and managed to dilate to 7cm before complications meant I had to have an epidural for forceps delivery. 

I found the TENS easy to use and really helped with the contractions so much so that I refused to try getting into the shower as I didn’t want to take the TENS off!
