I had a relatively quick first time labour, which mean that the stronger contractions hit me very quickly. By the time I got to hospital I had decided to opt for an epidural, but was refused due to problems I’d experience during the latter stages of my pregnancy. So my only option was Gas & Air, which took the edge off the pain and helped to focus my mind and breathing, but the Labour TENS was my saviour. I don’t know how I would have coped without it! It would have definitely been a harder and longer labour without the Labour TENS machine. I debated whether to hire a Labour TENS machine during my pregnancy but am so glad that I decided to get one as it was definitely worth the money.
