I was impressed with the Labour TENS machine and would recommend it to friends. It made the contractions far more manageable. Unfortunately after 30 hours of on-off labour I stopped progressing due to baby's position and had to have a cesarean section and therefore an epidural. Had this not been the case I think the Labour TENS and possibly gas and air would've been enough pain relief.
