For the birth of my 3rd child I decided to use Labour TENS as it came highly recommended from friends and childbirth classes.  I had never used a TENS machine before and hoped that it would give me a better chance of having a natural birth with no drugs or interventions.

I woke at 2.50am on the 9th June with a strong contraction, stood up and my waters broke. After the second contraction occurred I new this was the real deal and got the Labour TENS out.  My partner attached the pads to my back and I used the TENS for every contraction from then on until baby was born.

Thanks to the Labour TENS and some meditative breathing, and movement, we managed to stay at home as long as possible so that by the time we arrived at the hospital at about 8.15am, I was fully dilated and ready to push. I did use some happy gas to help take the edge off for the last 40 minutes of labour.

Baby Hudson was born at 9.12am on 9th June 2013 after what I would consider was a perfect labour!

Thanks.
