This was my third baby. I have previously had a water birth and an induction with an epidural.

I found the Labour TENS enormously helpful whilst at home in early labour, and continued to use it after arriving at hospital. My baby was born an hour after arriving at hospital. During that time my labour really intensified.  I continued to use the Labour TENS, increasing the intensity and leaving it on the “boost” mode. 

Combined with nitrous oxide for the last few intense contractions, I felt no need for any further pain relief.  I am so pleased that I was able to manage without an epidural this time (water birth wasn’t an option with this pregnancy).

I highly recommend the use of TENS and have been really pleased with the Labour TENS unit and hire.
