My second birth was induced but the Labour TENS machine gave me excellent relief right up to the last half hour, and then I only needed gas to get me through. Also, it didn’t interfere with the heart monitor which I had for the entire labour.
I highly recommend Labour TENS for anyone wanting to reduce their pain and discomfort during labour.
Thank you TENS!

I used the Labour TENS for a few hours and found it really helped without giving any “high” side effects like the gas (which I gave a go too, just out of curiosity). I preferred the TENS to the gas!
However, in my case, after about 6 hours I was only 1.5cm dilated and my cervix was still thick, so I opted for an epidural. Had I dilated sufficiently I think I could have handled the delivery with just the TENS machine.
I definitely recommend the Labour TENS machine!

A friend recommended that I should try the Labour TENS machine with my second pregnancy.
I am so relieved that I took her advice, as it really helped relieve the pain of the contractions. I am amazed that one tiny machine could make such a difference.

Although I ended up having a c-section, the Labour TENS machine was fantastic as I had about 12 hours of false labour and 12 hours of pre-labour pains!!
The Labour TENS machine helped me to stay at home for as long as possible and manage my pain levels effectively.
Excellent value!!

I used the Labour TENS machine with great success from the time of induction (8am) until about 2pm. My Obstetrician suggested I use some gas for additional pain relief then pethidine, which I found unhelpful. I continued to use the TENS machine and found the boost button amazing. By 4pm I was only 8cm dilated but experiencing an involuntary and seriously uncontrollable urge to push, so I had to have an epidural. This “saved my life” and totally took the urge to push away. The TENS was removed at that point.
I recommend use of the Labour TENS and I will definitely use it again for my next labour. If I don’t have that “urge” to push early I believe the TENS coupled with gas will be enough to get me through.
Thank you!!

PS… A day after the labour I couldn’t work out why my right wrist tendon was sore. Then I realised it was from continuously pressing the amazing boost button!

I found the Labour TENS so effective that I only used the TENS machine and a bath for my pain relief.
Thank You

I had the best labour and birth which lasted 4 hours and 44 minutes. The Labour TENS machine helped reduce the pain I was experiencing and made it alot easier to control my breathing and relax, allowing my cervix to dilate.

I used the Labour TENS for my first birth and found it very effective. Unfortunately, this time I only had it on for about 15 mins before the speedy and unexpected “home birth” of my second son….. so didn’t get the full use out of it. In saying that, it worked very effectively in eleviating pain, particularly as there was no time or opportunity for other drugs/pain relief with this labour!

I feel that the Labour TENS did assist in significantly reducing the perception of pain, or more so, allowing better control and management of pain. Compared to my first labour, where I was in the shower and used gas, this time I felt more in control.
