I couldn’t of had a drug free natural delivery without the Labour TENS

Published by under Birth stories

The Malabar midwives recommended your Labour TENS. My contractions were regular from 11pm and using the Labour TENS I was able to stay at home until 8am the following morning. I was 5cm dilated by the time I got to the hospital and I continued using the TENS machine till I delivered at 5pm, with no need for any drugs. It was particularly helpful during the pushing phase.

Labour TENS was brilliant and so worth the money spent

Published by under Birth stories

My sister used your labour TENS and it was recommended by the Midwives at my antenatal class. My labour was made so much easier thanks to the Labour TENS machine. I found the key was not to turn it up too early! My labour was approx 8 hours with no drugs used at all, and no intervention. Thanks very much, it was brilliant and so worth the money spent.

Labour TENS was a pleasant sensation in both boost and rest modes

Published by under Birth stories

Labour TENS was recommended by the Mercy Hospital in Melbourne. I would highly recommend this TENS machine. I used it from the beginning of the contractions and as well as reducing the level of pain, it was a pleasant sensation in both boost and rest modes. The rest mode was particularly good for the pushing stage when I was concentrating and unable to use the boost button.

The exhilaration I felt at having got through labour with the use of the TENS machine is incredible.

labour TENS was recommended to me through the hospital education classes. However, leading up to the birth of my baby, friends of mine, including a final year medical student laughed at my choice of using the TENS machine. Indeed her words were “ if you stubbed your toe the TENS might be good, but labour pain is completely different”. …well pleasingly I was proved right! About 20 hours or so into my labour I promised my husband that I would be giving up my career in law to become a Labour TENS sales rep!

The exhilaration I felt at having got through labour only with the use of the TENS machine (and a shot of pethidine) is incredible.

I controlled the first 7 hours easily at home with the TENS machine, arriving at hospital 8cm dilated.

I opted to have a drug free experience as I felt that I would be able to control the pain well enough with a combination of Labour TENS plus meditation and yoga techniques. I controlled the first 7 hours easily at home with the TENS machine, arriving at hospital 8cm dilated. For a further 5 hours the Labour TENS helped enormously with the pain – I was in a zone and didn’t need anything else. Unfortunately after 12 hours of full dilation it was decided I needed a caesarean.

I have no regrets about my decision and would highly recommend using the labour TENS machine to anyone. My outcome was due to my baby’s position and nothing would’ve changed that.
