We had a short, sharp labour -four hours in total. I started using the labour TENS within 1/2 hour of the first contractions and used it until the placenta came out. Claire says “it was really helpful for most of the labour”. We had a drug free natural birth. At the pushing stage though Claire thinks nothing would’ve made a difference!

Labour TENS provided very effective pain relief, and was a useful distraction for the first 30 hours of my 36 hour labour. It was easy to use and effective. In the end I had an emergency caesarean, but up to the point where the epidural was provided, the TENS was very effective.

Thank you for hiring the machine to me -it saved my life! I had an unexpected short labour with no time for any other support devices or methods we’d prepared and definitely no time for drugs.

The Labour TENS really helped me manage the entire labour. I had it pumping on boost constantly during the second stage right through to delivery. My felt the contractions low and deep so I positioned the electrode pads lower on my back to match where the pain was for the best effect.

I’m not sure if the TENS helped to quicken he labour process, but it certainly worked well for me. I’ll definitely give you a call to hire it again for the next baby. I’ll also be recommending the Labour TENS to other friends and family who have babies on the way.
