I couldn’t of had a drug free natural delivery without the Labour TENS

Published by under Birth stories

The Malabar midwives recommended your Labour TENS. My contractions were regular from 11pm and using the Labour TENS I was able to stay at home until 8am the following morning. I was 5cm dilated by the time I got to the hospital and I continued using the TENS machine till I delivered at 5pm, with no need for any drugs. It was particularly helpful during the pushing phase.

Labour TENS was brilliant and so worth the money spent

Published by under Birth stories

My sister used your labour TENS and it was recommended by the Midwives at my antenatal class. My labour was made so much easier thanks to the Labour TENS machine. I found the key was not to turn it up too early! My labour was approx 8 hours with no drugs used at all, and no intervention. Thanks very much, it was brilliant and so worth the money spent.

Labour TENS was a pleasant sensation in both boost and rest modes

Published by under Birth stories

Labour TENS was recommended by the Mercy Hospital in Melbourne. I would highly recommend this TENS machine. I used it from the beginning of the contractions and as well as reducing the level of pain, it was a pleasant sensation in both boost and rest modes. The rest mode was particularly good for the pushing stage when I was concentrating and unable to use the boost button.

The exhilaration I felt at having got through labour with the use of the TENS machine is incredible.

Published by under Birth stories

labour TENS was recommended to me through the hospital education classes. However, leading up to the birth of my baby, friends of mine, including a final year medical student laughed at my choice of using the TENS machine. Indeed her words were “ if you stubbed your toe the TENS might be good, but labour pain is completely different”. …well pleasingly I was proved right! About 20 hours or so into my labour I promised my husband that I would be giving up my career in law to become a Labour TENS sales rep!

The exhilaration I felt at having got through labour only with the use of the TENS machine (and a shot of pethidine) is incredible.

I controlled the first 7 hours easily at home with the TENS machine, arriving at hospital 8cm dilated.

Published by under Birth stories

I opted to have a drug free experience as I felt that I would be able to control the pain well enough with a combination of Labour TENS plus meditation and yoga techniques. I controlled the first 7 hours easily at home with the TENS machine, arriving at hospital 8cm dilated. For a further 5 hours the Labour TENS helped enormously with the pain – I was in a zone and didn’t need anything else. Unfortunately after 12 hours of full dilation it was decided I needed a caesarean.

I have no regrets about my decision and would highly recommend using the labour TENS machine to anyone. My outcome was due to my baby’s position and nothing would’ve changed that.

The boost button was fantastic-so easy to control. I don’t think I could have had a drug free natural birth without it.

The boost button was fantastic-so easy to control. Great in terms of feeling you are doing something proactive and involved my husband as I put him at the controls and just issued instructions. I don’t think I could have had a drug free natural birth without it.

Thanks, Sally.

Labour TENS really helped me to achieve the birth I dreamt about

Published by under Birth stories

The Labour TENS was recommended by the Women and Children’s hospital in Adelaide. On the day my water’s broke 9pm and contractions started at 11.30pm. The contractions were 7 minutes apart for 3 hours. I used the labour TENS machine and slept the whole time using the boost button when needed. The contractions stopped completely then began again Tuesday midday. I put the TENS machine on and once again slept for three hours until the contractions were really intense and 20 minutes apart. By 5pm the pain was coming in waves one on top of the other, but I found the constant buzz of the TENS distracting enough to get through the pain. I was at the hospital by 6pm pushing. I had a water birth which was calm serene and peaceful. If I’d had an epidural or pethidine this would not have been possible. I believe the TENS machine really helped me to achieve the birth I dreamt about.

Thanks Heather and the labour TENS team,

Highly recommended –I loved the feeling of having more control over my chosen pain relief and birthing process.

My midwife recommended you to me. The Labour TENS allowed me to labour at home for almost all my first stage, and to birth my baby naturally without the need for any medical pain relief. Things went so well I was able to leave the hospital six hours after the birth. Highly recommended –I loved the feeling of having more control over my chosen pain relief and birthing process.

The labour TENS machine was very effective in keeping me focused and able to work through each contraction

Published by under Birth stories

The labour TENS was recommended by a friend in the Antenatal class. It was not just a distraction from the pain, I found the Labour TENS machine very effective in keeping me focused and able to work through each contraction. So much so, that I prioritised keeping the TENS machine strapped on over using the bath/shower for pain relief. I loved it! I am recommending it to anyone I know who is about to give birth.

I used no other pain relief because along with good positioning, breathing and my wonderful support people the TENS machine was enough

Published by under Birth stories

Labour TENS was recommended to us by our support person who is  a student midwife. With my first baby I wanted to have as natural a birth as possible. Luckily for me I was able to have a “dream labour” by using only the Labour TENS machine throughout my labour and birth. In fact I used no other pain relief because along with good positioning, breathing and my wonderful support people the TENS machine was enough. Our baby girl was born after 5 hours and 10 minutes, thanks for a great product.
